Our innovative exhibit is available for viewing from the OUTSIDE of the new building.
Through the windows, you’ll see the kiosks that explain the history of our local ski area, as well as the huge, positive impact it has made on our local community. You’ll see wooden skis, ski patrol memorabilia and other relics from days gone by. And, most importantly, you’ll see the special invention of a man named Champ Bond, who was an innovator and supporter of Anthony Lakes when it first opened. The “snow thrower” he pieced together is the main attraction of our new exhibit! That unique piece of machinery makes your trip worth your visit!
Be inspired how individuals can make a difference by pursuing their passions, then involving others with Enthusiasm, Cooperation, Ingenuity, and especially Perseverance.
It simply took local enthusiasts like farmer/inventor, Champ Bond with his abilities to create working machines out of scrap metal and an early skier/newspaper editor, By Brinton along with other local help to make it happen over 60 years ago.
It continues on today.
